We are thrilled to announce that the Chelsea Court scheme has received a 2024 National CCS Award.

This award is a real testament to the site team's approach and how they deliver the works, with a genuine commitment to having a positive impact in the communities where they operate.

Regeneration Director for Equans, Barry McCarthy commented: "Visit after visit, the delivery team involved received excellent CCS scores (including four consecutive 45/45 results), setting and raising the bar in our industry for what considerate construction looks like - you should all be extremely proud to be recognised with this exceptional accolade. Well done and thank you."

The CCS' national award scheme has been rewarding the UK’s most considerate sites since 1998 when they launched the National Site Awards. Today like then, the Awards are one of the most recognised construction industry awards in the sector and represent an exceptional accolade that recognises the sites that have made the greatest contribution towards improving the image of construction.

Divisional Manager, James Jennings said: "The consistent high scores are a testament to site team members past and present. Stephen Smith has been a constant throughout these scores being achieved and has developed those working with him to bring them up to his expected high standards. It's an absolute pleasure working with Stephen and I'm pleased that his and the teams hard work and dedication is being recognised."

  • Fourth consecutive top score from Considerate Constructors Scheme for Chelsea Court team

The team at Chelsea Court have, for the fourth consecutive time, once again achieved an impressive top score of 45/45 from their recent audit visit by the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).

Upon hearing the news Divisional Manager, James Jennings commented: "This is an amazing achievement by all involved but a special mention for Stephen Smith our Project Manager, a very focused and meticulous Manager that I really appreciate and enjoy working with."

When the CCS monitor visited the scheme earlier this month to carry out their audit of the site, they commented things like "This is an excellent project which is demonstrating robust commitment to the CCS Code of Considerate Practice. Emphasis is placed on consideration for the elderly residents and the site team strive to ensure that there is minimal disruption whilst the works are in progress. The extensive landscaping within the communal garden will leave a positive environmental legacy well after the works are completed."

The CCS is an independent organisation founded to raise standards in the construction industry to ensure all construction sites present an image of competent management, efficiency, awareness of environmental issues and above all neighbourliness. Monitors from the scheme regularly audit our sites to ensure we are adhering to the scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice which is designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirement.

Each audit is split into three categories; respect for the community, protecting the environment and valuing the workforce each with a potential score out of 15 with a total combined max score of 45 available. To score above 13 in any category warrants an excellent level of achievement for that category.

Congratulations to Site Managers, Sergiu and Adie and the rest of the site team, who work so hard every day to maintain such high standards
