In the early summer, ENGIE was approached by Chichi Onyenemelu of Hyde Housing, about Young People Matter, a charity in Stockwell that needed support.
Young People Matter is a charitable organisation describing themselves as having a ‘youthful mind, social heart and community pulse’.
Their community outreach programmes bring people of all ages together to promote healthy living, nurture the potential of children and foster a sense of social responsibility.
They deliver projects and events all year round and were in desperate need of some good quality chairs for the older residents attending their events.
ENGIE’s Community Impact Manager, Julian Sanz, contacted our waste partners, Multi Services Kent (MSK), who were able to provide 15 reconditioned chairs from a recent office clearance.
With a little attention, they were as good as new and donated to the Young People Matter centre on the Stockwell Estate.
