Works update - West Midlands Team - August 2023

We're pleased to provide an overview and update for the works currently being delivered by our West Midlands team.

Tyler Court

Scope of works being delivered at :

  • Re-design and extend roof
  • Relocate internal drainage externally
  • New entrance door
  • Replace storage heaters to flats
  • New door entry system
  • Communal floor and decoration

Impact from works:

  • Create warmer, more efficient homes
  • Improve comfort, health and wellbeing of residents
  • Improved security
  • Eradicate damp issues in flats
  • Reduce energy bills

Additional Works

Scope of works being delivered at :

  • Additional budget minor works at Rugby

Impact from works:

  • Dealing with current maintenance issues

Completed social value initiatives:

  • Specialise qualification sponsorship - £163.96
  • Financial contribution towards digital devices - £500
  • Clarion Futures donation - £400
  • Contractor engagement - One Meet the Contractor event at Tyler Court
  • Provision of equipment or services - £50

Planned social value initiatives:

  • Apprenticeship & job starts: Will be difficult to achieve in this within our current contract but we are actively sharing employment opportunities for job starts with Clarion on a monthly basis
  • Accredited Training: CSCS Training planned for 29th September
  • Sponsorships & donations: Target achieved
  • Employment, Training & Work Experience: 'Skill for Success' training offered, awaiting Clarion approval
  • Contractor engagement: Meet the Building (Contractors & operatives) event planned for 12th September
  • Staff volunteering: 'Skill for Success' training - awaiting Clarion approval
