How long will the works take?
The works will start on the Monday 4th October 2021 and will continue throughout the academic year 2021-22.
Will all the works commence at the same time?
The works will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption.
When will the contractors be working?
Works will take place Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm, there is no scheduled weekend working.
Will the works be noisy?
We will be doing all we can to keep disruption to a minimum, however there is likely to be some noise disruption and dust when contractors are working on the section of the building in which you live.
How will privacy to the rooms be maintained once scaffold is in place?
Privacy film will be installed to all bedroom windows that will allow students to look out but not allow contractors to see inside. This may mean some rooms have less light than normal for a short period of time. We also recommend students pull down their blinds for privacy.
Who do I contact if I have a concern or complaint?
All concerns and complaints should be sent to the following email address: TCSworks@arts.ac.uk
How will students be updated as the works progress?
ENGIE will be providing regular updates on this microsite. Your team at UAL will continue to send regular emails about how the works are progressing and any instructional information. A member of iQ or UAL staff will also be present 24 hours a day, should you need to ask any further questions. There will also be a QR code displayed in reception which will take you to this microsite.
