Following consultation with the local community throughout 2019 and 2020, Manchester City Council recently approved plans submitted by ENGIE and Landcare (East Manchester) Ltd, to transform a former industrial site in the Miles Platting area of Manchester, into a low carbon, mixed-use community with 410 new homes.

The proposals for land, at Coleshill Street, includes 8,8055 sqm of open space and courtyards, seamlessly combining sustainable design with digital infrastructure, smart homes and quality public realm. The £80m scheme will include a wide range of homes from one-bedroom apartments to three-bedroom houses, creating a multi-tenure neighbourhood with approximately 50% of all units designated as family homes.
